“Jesus called the children to him and said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.” Luke 18:16

The mission of the Religious Education Program of St. Andrew Parish is to assist parents in the religious, moral, and spiritual formation of their children. We believe parents are the primary educators of their children, teaching by word and example. Our parish catechists support the parents and students by providing quality religious education in a nurturing, faith-filled environment. By working together our children will grow in their love for God and knowledge of their Catholic faith while developing their God-given gifts.

The Religious Education Program prepares youth in Grades 1-8 for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist with two consecutive years of religious formation. We use the Loyola Press curriculum, Finding God, which is an Archdiocesan approved text. Finding God: Our Response to God’s Gifts is based on a spiral curriculum that integrates the fundamental themes of the Catechism of the Catholic Church with Scripture and Catholic Social Teaching. This program provides lessons in the faith and delivers those lessons through experiential activities that encourage lifelong practice
